The Lamastus Family has operated Elida Estate in Alto Quiel, Boquete, Chiriquí, Panama since 1918, farming at ultra-high elevations of 1,700–2,060 masl on the slopes of Volcán Barú, with more than half the estate within the national park. The estate is best known for Geisha lots that have repeatedly won the Best of Panama competition across washed and natural categories; a 2019 natural Geisha lot sold for a world-record $1,029 per pound at auction. The Lamastus Family also owns El Burro Estate and Luito Geisha Estate, with 65% of total land preserved as protected forest.
