From the first-hand The Yirgacheffe region is known for its pure, floral coffees. At the cupping table we were a bit reliant on coffee nostalgia, as it was repeatedly said – “ho ho ho , just like the washed Ethiopia of years ago” Classic, floral, with a hint of black tea. What is interesting about this coffee is that it is produced by a single farmer, not by a cooperative – such a model is more common in Yirgacheffe. Our importer Vojtech met Matyas and was taken by his approach to craftsmanship and the thoroughness with which he approaches coffee production. Here for you a sample of his hard work!
