About
Family-owned farm, mill, and roastery in Pahala, Ka'u District on the southern side of Hawaii Island. Founded in 1999 by Restituto "Rusty" and Loreto "Lorie" Obra, Filipino immigrants who retired from New Jersey to grow coffee on former sugar plantation land. Produces micro-lot Ka'u coffees using natural and washed processing on-site. Known for award-winning single-origin lots including Yellow Caturra and Typica varieties. Winner of the SCAE 2010 Outstanding Producer Award and multiple Hawaiian Coffee Association cupping competition titles.
