About

Specialty coffee company founded by Mokhtar Alkhanshali in San Francisco to source and import premium single-origin coffee directly from Yemeni farmers. Alkhanshali spent three years working with farmers in Yemen on cultivation and processing before escaping the 2015 civil war by boat to bring samples to the SCAA conference, where lots scored 90+. Works exclusively with Yemeni producers under the Mokha Method, which includes training, interest-free microloans, and a gender-equity requirement for farming cooperatives.
