About

Specialty coffee roastery and cafe in Cologne, Germany, founded by five Indonesians living in Germany with the goal of bringing Indonesian specialty coffee to Europe. The name Meramanis combines the Indonesian words mera (red) and manis (sweet), evoking the natural sweetness they seek in their coffees. The roastery, based in nearby Haan, sources directly from farms across Indonesia including Sumatra, Java, Bali, and Flores, and roasts to highlight each origin's natural character without bitterness. Their Cologne cafe at Krefelder Strasse 7-9 serves espresso and filter coffee.
