Coffee producer

Jairo Arcila

Active origin: Colombia
Jairo Arcila is a third-generation coffee producer from Quindío, Colombia, who managed Colombia's second-largest dry mill for over 40 years before retirement in 2019. He purchased Finca La Esmeralda in 1987 and now owns five farms — La Esmeralda, Villarazo, Santa Monica, Maracay, and Buenos Aires — and was among the first ten growers in Colombia to plant Gesha, acquiring seeds in 2014 before the variety had widespread recognition. Together with his sons Carlos and Felipe he co-founded the export company Cofinet; Jairo now focuses on small-scale specialty production while his sons lead Cofinet's international operations.
