Diego Samuel Bermudez is a multi-award-winning Colombian coffee producer and processing specialist based in Piendamó, Cauca, who began farming in 2008 on a small family parcel. He is director of INDESTEC (Innovación y Desarrollo Tecnológico para el Agro), a family enterprise at Finca El Paraiso dedicated to producing, processing, and commercializing specialty coffee. Finca El Paraiso sits in Cauca, characterized by humid climate and Pacific wind influence at around 1,960 masl, and is known for pioneering controlled anaerobic fermentation protocols developed in an on-farm laboratory. Bermudez has won multiple national and international awards since 2015 for high-end specialty lots across natural, washed, and anaerobic processes.
