Basha Bekele is an Ethiopian smallholder coffee producer and cherry collector in Bensa, Sidama, farming semi-forested plots at 2,000–2,300 masl across approximately 12 hectares and working with around 126 neighboring farmers. He specializes exclusively in dry-process coffees — natural and anaerobic naturals — using cherry flotation and slow raised-bed drying at collection sites in Bombe, Shantawane, and Kokose. Bekele won the Ethiopia Cup of Excellence in 2024 and is known for paying a second premium to his cherry suppliers once lots sell.
