Aguthi Farmers Cooperative

Aguthi Farmers' Cooperative Society (AFCS) is a Kenyan cooperative based in the Tetu District of Nyeri County, representing approximately 2,091 member farmers across four wet mills: Kagumo, Gititu, Gaaki, and Thageini. The Thageini mill specifically serves around 450 smallholders farming SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11, and Batian varieties at 1,650–1,800 masl on cool volcanic slopes. The cooperative has partnered with Project Origin since 2017 for advanced fermentation and infrastructure development, producing lots known for vibrant clarity and acidity.
